Zinedine Zidane is the iconic player in Real Madrid’s history. The club made a big transfer when they signed him in 2001 and later, he become a legendary figure for the club.

The Frenchman made the move to the Spanish capital for a world record fee of £69.75m. He guided Rael Madrid to the Champions League title in the same season. He made 227 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 49 goals and registering 67 assists. He also won Intercontinental Cup and Super Cup in his debut year. In 2003, he won the La Liga title.

Zidane has more glories as a manager for Real Madrid with 3 Champions League titles, 2 Club World Cups, 2 Super Cups, and 2 La Liga titles. He later helped Real Madrid to win three Champions League trophies as a coach.

Fernando Redondo is one of the best midfielder Real Madrid ever had. He led Madrid to Champions League wins twice in three years at the end of the 20th century. He was a defensive midfielder with the ability to contribute offensively and creatively. He also won two La Liga trophies and left the club in 2002. 

In 2013, he was named by Marca (daily magazine) as a member of the “Best foreign eleven in Real Madrid’s history. He made 225 appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions and played for a whole decade for the club.

Luis Figo is one of the rare players on the list who played for Real Madrid and Barcelona. He proceeded to win two La Liga titles and the Champions League in the white of Real. He joined Real Madrid from Barcelona in the summer of 2000 as the club’s record signing at that time. He helped Whites to win seven trophies, including their ninth European Cup in Glasgow.

Figo also won the Ballon d´Or as a Madrid player. Figo has made 163 appearances for Los Blancos and scored 38 goals. He won one Champions League, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 1 European Super Cup, a pair of Ligas, 2 Spanish Super Cups, 1 FIFA World Player and 1 Ballon d’Or.
