Sandi Lovric, a midfielder for Udinese, is a potential target for Real Madrid in the summer of 2023.

Real Madrid may have to shift their attention to other prospects in order to strengthen their midfield unit next summer because Jude Bellingham is apparently getting closer and closer to signing with Liverpool.

Before joining the Swiss team FC Lugano in 2019, Lovric began his professional career in Austria. The 24-year-old moved to Udinese this past summer as a free agent after spending three years with the team. Lovric has played effectively for Udinese since moving to Italy, making 14 Serie A games while contributing to two goals and one assist.

Lovric, a midfielder by trade, can fill a variety of positions in the middle of the field. He has earned 25 Slovenian national team caps and three goals on the international scene. Additionally, Real Madrid appears to have noticed his performances as they are said to be tracking the midfielder in advance of the 2023 summer transfer window.

The Merengues need to bring in some new blood to their midfield unit because Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are nearing the end of their careers.

Other midfielders like Youri Tielemans of Leicester City and Enzo Fernandez of SL Benfica have been suggested as potential targets, and Lovric has now been added to the list.
