Ancelotti has confirmed that Asensio has asked to leave Real.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti admits Marco Asensio is in talks to move away.

The Spanish winger will see his contract expiring next year. He is heavily linked with Premier League clubs. Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are looking to sign him this summer.

Asensio was Real Madrid’s third top scorer in the 2021-22 campaign with 12 goals, only behind Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr.

This season, the story has been slightly different. The attacking midfielder has been limited to just seven minutes of top-flight action this season after falling down the pecking order.

Ancelotti has also confirmed that Asensio has asked to leave Real.

Quoted by AS, he said: “Marco is looking at something to see if he can leave.”
