Los Blancos are six points ahead of 2nd placed Sevilla with one extra game.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti feels Sevilla is their main rival in the pursuit of La Liga. He has tipped Sevilla as their rivals in 2022. The Italian was speaking following Real Madrid’s goalless draw at home against Cadiz.
Real Madrid’s 10-match winning streak ended across all competitions. Los Blancos dropped two points last week but they are still six points ahead of 2nd placed Sevilla with one extra game.
Ancelotti believes Sevillistas Rojiblancos will pose a major challenge to his side from January onwards.
“You have to look at the table and so far we have to say that Sevilla is the one that is closest and we have to fight against them”, as per reports from Marca.
“They have real quality and great fans.”
Before the end of 2021, Ancelotti’s side will travel to Athletic Club in midweek.
Los Blancos have no issues with their two big rivals Atletico and Barcelona this season. Atletico are currently 14 points behind Los Blancos and Barcelona are 16 points behind Ancelotti’s side.
