Ancelotti denied rumours suggesting that Bellingham would be forced to play in a deeper role.
Real Madrid recently completed the signing of Kylian Mbappe from PSG and last summer, they signed Jude Bellingham. They have two future superstars in the team. It will be a huge pressure on Ancelotti to fix his lineup.
Los Blancos manager has assured fans that Jude Bellingham’s role will remain unchanged despite Kylian Mbappe’s arrival this summer. They are currently in the US for pre-season.
Last season was terrific for Real Madrid as they completed a treble. They won the La Liga 2023-24 from Barcelona. Later, they won the UEFA Champions League for the record 15th time after beating Dortmund in the final.
Karim Benzema left the club last year so Bellingham got a big role in Ancelotti’s lineups. He scored 23 goals in 42 appearances in his debut season. He was instrumental in Madrid’s two El Clasico wins.
While having a press conference in Charlotte, Ancelotti denied rumours suggesting that the English midfielder would be forced to play in a deeper role to accommodate for Mbappe. He replied, “Nothing changes for him. Nothing changes.
“The first season, he (Bellingham) surprised a lot, because he showed fantastic quality, a really mature guy. The next season will not be different.
“He is going to be one of the best players that we have, supporting a lot the team with his quality.”
The Italian manager also supported Bellingham following criticism of his performances at Euro 2024 by saying, “This is an opinion but Bellingham played really well at the Euros.”
