Real Madrid forward expected to reject chance to join Man United this summer

Real Madrid did not hide its frustration following a controversial Champions League exit at the hands of Bayern Munich.

‘No One Understands It’: Real Madrid Fumes Over Controversial Loss to Bayern

The Spanish giants directed most of their anger toward the match officials, insisting that questionable decisions ruined the game.

Head coach Alvaro Arbeloa launched the sharpest criticism. He singled out a key moment involving midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, arguing that no one understands why the referee handled the situation that way.

Arbeloa declared the outcome “unfair” and claimed the official forgot he had already issued a yellow card earlier. “The referee ruined the game,” Arbeloa said bluntly.

The coach also questioned whether referees truly understand the sport. He suggested that some officials do not know what it feels like to play football, and Tuesday night proved that point.

Despite his anger, Arbeloa took a moment to congratulate Bayern Munich for their strong performance.

He added that if Real Madrid had to lose, he would prefer a different kind of defeat rather than one caused by an inexplicable decision.

Defender Eder Militao echoed the sentiment, calling the red card his team received completely unfair. Midfielder Arda Guler struck a more measured but still disappointed tone.

He said the match should not have ended that way, apologized to the fans, and promised that the team would return stronger. “Hala Madrid,” he added.

The loss eliminates Real Madrid from Europe’s top competition earlier than expected.

The club’s quick switch from Xabi Alonso to Arbeloa has clearly not produced the desired results, and this controversial exit only adds more pressure on the new coach.

For now, Real Madrid directs its frustration at the referee crew, but the scoreboard will not change. The team must now focus on domestic competitions while wondering what might have been.
