Arsenal preparing to offer Odegaard a fresh new contract.

The Norwegian playmaker has played 12 games for the Gunners since his arrival from Real Madrid on loan back in January.

The Real Madrid loanee is enjoying his life in London and Mikel Arteta is impressed with his domineering display in crucial games.

It is to be believed that Real Madrid would ask £35million for Odegaard as his six years with Real Madrid has been really frustrating with limited game time.

Arteta will try to negotiate with the Spanish giants and the Norwegian’s representatives at the end of the season.

“I speak with him every day,” Arteta said.

“I see his face, his body language and he seems really happy right now here.

“Our contract with him is until the end of the season. What we have to do is try to make him perform, develop and be as happy as he can be.”
