Asensio scored the important second goal in Real Madrid’s 2-0 El Derbi La Liga win.
Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio is looking for a key spot in Los Blancos in 2022. He wants to be a part of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans next year.
Asensio scored the important second goal in Real Madrid’s 2-0 El Derbi La Liga win over Atletico Madrid. He is in good touch but this performance cannot earn the regular place under Ancelotti.
The Spanish international faced a serious knee injury in 2019 that has disrupted his Real Madrid career. The former boss Zinedine Zidane used him sparingly last season where he made 21 starts and 14 substitute appearances in La Liga.
He has eight league starts in the current season and seven appearances came off the bench. Ancelotti is rotating his starting options alongside Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior.
“I feel very well and I am being decisive for the team”, according to the reports from Mundo Deportivo.
“I want to continue like this because now the goals are coming for me.”
