Luka Modric is set to sign a one-year contract extension until 2023.
According to AS, Jude Bellingham is the midfielder Real Madrid have picked to replace Luka Modric for the upcoming season 2022/23.
The 18-year-old is currently playing for Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund and his contract will expire in 2025. Bellingham is reportedly happy in Germany, becoming a key player for the Bundesliga outfit.
Madrid wants to push their goal for the Dortmund midfielder in the summer of 2023. They see Englishman as a replacement for Luka Modric, who is set to sign a one-year contract extension until 2023.
If Los Blancos ends up signing Bellingham next summer, he will become the first English player on the books of the club since David Beckham left in June 2007.
