Real Madrid striker Benzema claims 2021 as career's best year

Benzema was granted the Madrid Award by the local press yesterday.

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema believes the last year was his best year career-wise. The Frenchman is the club’s finest player and is currently, the leading scorer for the club in season 2021/22.

The 36-year-old was granted the Madrid Award by the local press yesterday.

He told Real Madrid TV, “I’m happy and proud to win this award. It was my best year because I scored a lot of goals, made a lot of assists, and I helped my team to win.

“The objective at Real Madrid is always to win trophies and to win every competition.

“We’re doing well, we’re alive in all of them, and we’re going to work and continue to fight for silverware this season.”

Real Madrid is doing great this season. They already claimed the first trophy of the season by winning Supercopa de Espana in January. Los Blancos are at the top spot of the La Liga 2021/22. They have also cleared the next round of Copa del Rey.
