Ancelotti becomes Real Madrid’s most successful manager
In three seasons, Ancelotti has led Real Madrid to two Champions League and La Liga doubles, making him the first manager to win championships in each of Europe’s top five leagues: England, Spain, Germany, Italy, and France. He has won three Champions League titles, two Club World Cups, three European Super Cups, two Spanish League crowns, two Spanish Cups, two Spanish Super Cups, and most recently, one Intercontinental Cup.
The most recent victory was a rather straightforward matchup, with Rodrygo doubling Real’s lead early in the second half after Mbappe started the scoring in the 37th minute. A late penalty from Vinicius completed a resounding victory. The Intercontinental Cup, sponsored by FIFA, was held for the first time. It involves the six regional winners and largely follows the previous format of the Club World Cup.
