Ancelotti feels confident in his team as they face Pep Guardiola’s side at Etihad.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is assured of seeing his side playing another Champions League final. They will face Manchester City next week in the second leg encounter of the UCL semifinals.
The 63-year-old feels he has quality players on the bench and trusts the squad’s depth. Real Madrid were held for a 1-1 draw at home and now, the Etiahd fixture would be a crucial one.
Ancelotti made eight changes to the side that started against City last week. They still managed to seal a 1-0 victory over Getafe.
Ancelotti feels confident in his team as they face Pep Guardiola’s side at Etihad. They had a good record against English clubs.
After the Getafe game, Ancelotti said (via Real Madrid’s website): “I have a clear idea of Wednesday’s team today, I have no doubts at all. We’re feeling confident.
“I have a strong bench with players that can contribute in this type of game. Last year the players who came off the bench helped us win the Champions League.
“You always play with fire in this job. What can I do? I’ve named a competitive and fresh squad so that no one complains that we’re giving an advantage to an opponent who’s fighting relegation.
“Those who were tired didn’t play. It’s a good sign that we go into Wednesday with the full squad available.”
It is still unclear whether Ancelotti will actually have his complete squad available for the clash with the Premier League side.
