Carlo Ancelotti delivered an optimistic injury update on Kylian Mbappe as Real Madrid prepares for their Champions League matchup against Lille.

Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe: Injury Update Before Champions League Clash

The star forward, who picked up a thigh injury during Real’s thrilling 3-2 win over Alaves, was initially sidelined for up to three weeks. However, his swift recovery has put him back in contention for selection.

Speaking to the press, Real Madrid manager revealed that Mbappe had successfully completed training on Tuesday, signaling a potential return to action.

“Mbappé has recovered well and quickly,” Ancelotti stated.

“He trained individually yesterday and didn’t stop for long. He hasn’t lost his condition, and today he participated in the full training session.”

Despite the positive news, Ancelotti remained cautious, emphasizing that the club would not rush Mbappe back onto the pitch.

“We will make the most appropriate decision today, keeping in mind that we are not going to take any risks,” he added, acknowledging the importance of ensuring the forward is fully fit before playing.

Interestingly, the match against Lille holds personal significance for Mbappé, as his younger brother, Ethan, currently plays for the French side.

Unfortunately, Ethan is recovering from a muscle injury, meaning the anticipated sibling showdown won’t occur just yet.

With Mbappe’s scoring prowess—seven goals in nine appearances—he has made an immediate impact since joining Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain.

If he receives the green light to play against Lille, it will not only be a crucial match for the team but also a poignant return to France for one of football’s brightest stars.
