Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is looking for a big performance from Gareth Bale against PSG

This week, Real Madrid will face PSG in the opening leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie.

“Bale hasn’t disrespected his teammates,” Ancelotti said at his pre-match press conference ahead of taking on Paris Saint-Germain. “He trains well, he’s professional.

“He wants to end things here as he deserves to, because he’s helped us to win the Champions League and he’s done important things. I think finishing things well here would be good for his career.”- said Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti believes Gareth Bale has earned the right to end his career on a high at the club.

Despite playing a significant role in their domestic and European triumphs, Bale has proven to be a decisive career in the Spanish city.

The Welsh international joined Los Blancos from Tottenham in 2013 for a world record sum of €91 million, becoming a vital addition during Ancelotti’s first time in command.

Bale started the 0-0 draw against Villarreal on Saturday, his first domestic appearance since August, and he has been named to the team for tomorrow’s Champions League last 16 match against rivals Paris Saint-Germain.

Bale will almost certainly depart Real Madrid when his contract expires at the end of the season, with a possible short-term transfer on the horizon as he prepares to lead Wales to the 2022 World Cup.
