Cesc Fabregas spoke to Barcelona about signing Aurelien Tchouameni.
The former Barcelona midfielder played alongside Aurelien Tchouameni at Monaco and watched him evolve as one of the sought-after midfielders over the past few years.
Fabregas who came through the Barcelona academy has joined Serie B side Como this year.
He apparently talked to his former employers including Barcelona about signing Aurelien Tchouameni this summer.
But the Frenchman chose to seal his dream move to Santiago Bernabeu and cost the club €100m.

“I spoke with people from Barça to sign him, he seemed like a great player for the future,” Fabregas said. “I know Tchouameni very well, but he couldn’t be signed financially.
“I gave my option to another of my former teams and in the end, he went to the ‘enemy’ club. You have to take advantage of market opportunities.”
