Eden Hazard to leave Real Madrid this summer after a disappointing career in Spain

Everything points to Eden Hazard leaving Real Madrid in the summer, according to sources

The Belgian has been out of action for nearly two months, and it is obvious that manager Carlo Ancelotti has no intentions at all to use him. When the former Chelsea player joined the Merengues, it was anticipated that he would advance his career. When he arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu, Hazard was regarded as one of the best players in the world at the moment.

It has been tough to witness his decline from that point onwards to a situation where he is not even a genuine presence on the bench. If the player does depart Real Madrid in June, all that suffering could come to an end. The 32-year-old has played just three times for the Merengues in La Liga this year, totaling just 102 minutes. In the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid defeated Celtic, and he scored just once all year.

With Los Blancos, Hazard is under contract through the 2024 summer season. The winger has the option of staying in the Spanish city for an additional season, but both parties agree that it would be preferable to move on and allow the player to reassess his options.

The legendary Chelsea player, who spent the majority of his team’s season on the bench, declared his retirement from international football after the just-concluded FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

We’ll have to wait and see if Hazard thinks about quitting professional football. The Real Madrid flop could also spend time outside of Europe as there have been connections to MLS and Saudi Arabian teams.
