Endrick shines despite Real Madrid’s loss to AC Milan
In a much-anticipated friendly match at Chicago’s Soldier Field, Brazilian prodigy Endrick made his Real Madrid debut, though the team fell to AC Milan 1-0.
The game drew a vibrant crowd of 61,568, eager to witness the 18-year-old forward’s first appearance for the Spanish giants.
Despite missing key players like Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, and Rodrygo, Endrick showcased his potential during his 45-minute stint.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti rotated the squad at halftime but couldn’t help but praise the young talent.
“Endrick possesses a unique skill set,” Ancelotti commented.
“His speed, agility, and ability to maneuver in tight spaces make him a special player. It’s rare to find such characteristics in one talent.”
Endrick’s performance included a single shot on goal, reflecting his eagerness and promise. Although he didn’t score, his presence on the pitch hinted at a bright future with Los Blancos.
The match’s lone goal came in the 56th minute from AC Milan’s Nigerian winger, Samuel Chukwueze. Milan, under Portuguese manager Paulo Fonseca, secured their second victory in as many pre-season matches.
“We competed and fought well, especially with many youngsters on the field,” Ancelotti noted.
“The goal was to stay competitive throughout, and we saw both good and improvable moments, which is expected in pre-season.”
Real Madrid now looks forward to their next challenge, an edition of ‘El Clasico’ against Barcelona in New Jersey.
Fans and pundits alike will watch keenly to see if Endrick can continue to impress and grow into the star many believe he can become.
