Former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is close to moving to PSG

The last 48 hours have been a rollercoaster regarding the rumors linking former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane to the Paris Saint-Germain job. The capital club wants to appoint the French tactician, and they might have their man for next season.

Ramon Fuentes of Mundo Deportivo has insights on the former Real Madrid manager’s talks with the French giants. Paris Saint-Germain has finally persuaded Zidane that coaching the club is in his best interests.

However, owing to undisclosed circumstances, the announcement will not be made until the end of June. This transaction between Zidane and PSG, according to Fuentes, is closed.

Alain Miglaccio, Zidane’s agent, has categorically rejected that his client would join PSG. He stated emphatically that no deal was reached on Friday and that nothing would be released without his knowledge.

The contract is also a three-year pact at €25 million each year, according to the article. Unless there are any setbacks, the agreement should be finalised by the end of June, when PSG plans to announce the hire.

On Tuesday of this week, the two sides met again in Qatar for the second time. Zidane has returned to Ibiza, where he will spend the remainder of his holiday with his family.

Following a recent rumour from AS claiming that Zidane had rejected down the position, another Spanish site now disputes that claim, so it will be fascinating to watch how this plays out. The manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has been notified that he will be fired, and the process will now begin.
