Gareth Bale's Return To Real Madrid Not Guaranteed - Agent

Gareth Bale revealed last week that he plans on returning to Real Madrid soon.

But shortly after, his agent came out and revealed that his comments were taken out of context.

Bale has hit his best form in years after re-joining Tottenham Hotspur on loan last summer. It took a fair bit of time but he now looks to be a solid part of Jose Mourinho’s Spurs forward line. The Welshman obviously, grew frustrated with his time under Zinedine Zidane in Madrid.

“The main reason I came to Spurs this year was to play football first and foremost,” Bale said.

“Going into the Euros I wanted to be match fit. The original plan was to do a season at Spurs and after the Euros still have a year left at Real Madrid. My plan is to go back, that’s as far I have planned.”

Jonathan Barnett, his agent then told BBC Sport, “[Bale’s comments] were taken completely out of context. There’s no timescale [on a decision]. He is just concentrating on now.”

Bale still has a contract with Real Madrid until June 2022. If Zidane is to remain as Real Madrid boss, it is unlikely the forward will return to Bernabeu again.
