Jurgen Klopp sends warning to Real Madrid ahead of CL clash

Jurgen Klopp wants Real Madrid to experience the ‘real’ Liverpool side.

Liverpool hopes to summon the spirits of past triumphs and Klopp hopes to devise an extraordinary Champions League comeback.

Klopp’s last two meetings with Zinedine Zidane’s side ended in dejection.

“When you’re 3-1 down it looks like you are already out, that means you have not a lot to lose, let me say it like this,” said Klopp.

“Everybody is (talking) about our comebacks in the past and it was with supporters. That’s true. But (there are) a lot of problems we will face before we have even a chance to win. The (first leg) result is a problem, the quality of the opponent is a problem, and then obviously that the stadium is empty is a problem.

“For me, much more important is the performance. We have to play like ourselves. Then we will see where the result leads us to. When we are really good then we can beat Real Madrid. But we have to be really good.

“What we have to do is pretty clear. Everyone who saw us playing well knows what we have to do in these moments because it is exactly playing like our best selves. Then we can win the game.”
