Real Madrid are preparing for a busy summer transfer window, and one of their priorities is to reinforce the central defense.

Rudiger’s Future in Doubt: Juventus Enters Race with Formal Contract Offer

The expected departure of David Alaba has made this a necessity, but another exit could also be on the cards as Antonio Rudiger’s future remains uncertain.

Like Alaba, Rudiger is out of contract at the end of the season. While recent speculation has focused on whether Real Madrid will offer him a renewal, the club currently leans toward extending his stay for just one more year.

His recent performances and improved fitness have convinced the hierarchy that keeping him for the short term makes sense.

Rudiger would likely prefer to remain in Madrid. However, even if the club presents that one-year offer, other proposals are expected to arrive before the summer.

According to Tuttosport via Sport, Juventus are preparing a formal bid for the German international. The Serie A side wants to bring him back to Italian football and plans to offer a two-year contract.

If Rudiger accepts, he would reunite with Luciano Spalletti, his former manager at Roma. Juventus have already held talks with the defender’s agent and intend to schedule further meetings to convince him of the move.

The Real Madrid board remains relatively calm about the possibility of Rudiger leaving. However, the situation is different for current head coach Álvaro Arbeloa.

He is a strong admirer of the experienced defender and is determined to keep him at the club. Losing Rudiger to Juventus in the summer would represent a significant blow to Arbeloa—though his own future in the dugout beyond this season is not yet guaranteed.

With contract talks ongoing and interest from Turin intensifying, Rudiger now faces a clear choice: accept a short-term stay at the Bernabéu or embark on a new chapter in Serie A with Juventus.
