Keylor Navas describes the end of his Real Madrid career.

The 34-year old goalkeeper joined Los Blancos from Levante in 2014 and won one La Liga title and three Champions League titles between 2016 and 2018.

But after Real Madrid signed Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea in 2018, Navas left for French giants Paris Saint-Germain just a year later.

In an interview with France Football, Navas explained how he received signs from God towards the exit from Real Madrid in 2019.

Navas has a contract with PSG until 2023 and wishes to stay at the club for many years.

“There are times when you have to make decisions,” Navas said. “I have great appreciation for Real Madrid and all the team-mates who have treated me well. And of course [head coach Zinedine] Zidane, with whom we have won everything.

“We have a common history that will not leave our memory. But there are things that we do not control.

“I trusted in God, who guided me towards an exit from Real Madrid.”
