Kylian Mbappe received the La Liga Player of the Month award for September after winning the UEFA Champions League Player of the Week award for Matchday 2.
With the exception of the derby loss to Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid had a fantastic month in September, and Mbappe played a significant role in their winning streak.
In the 2-1 victory over Real Sociedad on the road, the 26-year-old French sensation opened the month with a goal and an assist. A week later, Mbappe scored once more as Real Madrid defeated Espanyol 2-0. He then scored twice in the team’s 4-1 victory over Levante.
Mbappe was one of the few bright spots of the evening, even scoring a goal, even though Real Madrid lost badly to Atletico in their final league match in September.
Mbappe more than deserved his La Liga Player of the Month award for September after finishing the month with five goals and an assist from four league games.

Naturally, frontman Mbappé is coming off of yet another incredible September month. The Frenchman started every one of Real Madrid’s six games from the beginning, continuing what has been nothing short of an incredible start to the new season.
Mbappé also had a direct hand in 11 goals along the way. During these four league games, the former Paris Saint-Germain star scored five goals and provided an assist.
Mbappé was included on the list of nominees for La Liga’s Player of the Month last week as a result of his efforts. As previously said, the 26-year-old officially defeated the competition to win the reward on Friday.
