Jose Mourinho celebrated his Bernabeu homecoming in spectacular fashion as Kylian Mbappé’s sensational hat-trick powered Real Madrid to a commanding 4-1 victory over Real Sociedad.

The French superstar delivered a masterclass performance, taking his goal tally for Los Blancos to 89 in just 105 appearances, as Mourinho marked his first home game since returning to the Spanish capital with three valuable LaLiga points.
The atmosphere crackled with anticipation before kick-off as the Bernabeu faithful roared Mourinho’s name during the team announcement.
The party mood intensified when Real full-back Marc Cucurella received a guard of honour, proudly displaying the World Cup trophy following Spain’s summer triumph.
Sociedad’s Mikel Oyarzabal joined the celebration, having also contributed to Spain’s success.
The visitors nearly stunned the hosts early on when Oyarzabal forced a sharp save from Thibaut Courtois, who blocked bravely with his leg.
Real gradually found their rhythm, with Arda Guler and Jude Bellingham pulling the attacking strings against a well-organised Sociedad defence.
Alex Remiro produced fine saves to deny Vinícius Júnior and Mbappé, but the pressure finally told five minutes before the interval.
Federico Valverde’s clever pass found Mbappe, whose sublime first touch created space for a devastating left-footed finish.
However, Real’s joy proved short-lived. Sergio Gomez’s ball from deep caught the home defence napping, and Job Ochieng’s deflected shot fell perfectly for Luka Sucic, who powered home to level the scores just before the break.
Remiro continued his heroics after the restart, denying both Mbappé and Güler as Real upped the intensity.
The Portuguese’s mood improved dramatically on the hour mark. Mbappé restored Real’s lead after a slick one-two with Bellingham, calmly sliding past Remiro.
Bellingham turned provider again eight minutes later, his tenacity proving decisive. The England midfielder burst into the box, saw his shot blocked, but won back possession from Luken Beitia to set up Vinícius for the simplest of tap-ins.
Mbappé completed his treble 10 minutes from time with a delicate chip over Remiro following Vinícius’ brilliant through ball, before VAR denied Brahim Díaz a fifth goal in stoppage time.
