The allegations surfaced after Swedish media, including Aftonbladet and Expressen, reported that Mbappe was under investigation for a rape incident that allegedly occurred during his recent visit to Stockholm.
The reports claimed that the incident took place at a luxurious hotel in the heart of the city, coinciding with Mbappe’s brief holiday while recovering from an injury.
In response to these reports, Mbappe took to social media, denouncing the claims as “fake news” and suggesting the timing was suspicious, given his ongoing legal battle with his former club, Paris Saint-Germain, over unpaid wages.
