During an interview with TNT Sports Brazil, Enrique highlighted Vinicius’ exceptional performances, crediting him for being one of the key players in Real Madrid’s success, including their triumphs in LaLiga and the UEFA Champions League last season.

While Enrique typically places more value on collective success, he stated, “I hope Vinícius Júnior, a Brazilian, wins it. He’d deserve it, for sure.”

He added that, as a coach, he prefers to focus on the team’s achievements rather than individual accolades, but he still acknowledged the Brazilian winger’s potential to claim the prestigious award.

Vinicius, alongside Jude Bellingham, is considered one of the top contenders this year, thanks to their significant contributions to Real Madrid’s impressive campaigns.

Though both players failed to add major international honors this summer, their consistent form and impact on the field have kept them in the conversation for football’s highest individual prize.

As the Ballon d’Or announcement nears, Enrique’s endorsement adds to the growing support for Vinicius, who has evolved into a key player for both club and country
