Real Madrid legend Luka Modric talked about is future after winning the Champions League title. He has revealed whether he would be staying with the Spanish club.
The Croatia international won his record sixth Champions League title when Real Madrid beat Borussia Durtmund 2-0 in the final at Wembley. Only Carvajal and Paco Gento won 6 UCL titles.
The 38-year-old made his 46th appearance of the current season at Wembley. Modric only came on for the last five minutes of the final. He only made the first XI three times in the Champions League campaign.
Madrid legend scored two goals and provided eight assists in the 2023-24 season. His contract is expiring and he is likely to leave the club.
Modric is linked with Saudi clubs and they are ready to offer him one last mammoth payday before he retires. Meanwhile, he wants to sign a new contract with Real Madrid.
Modric confirmed that he would be staying on for 2024-25 during Madrid’s celebrations on Sunday, saying: “See you next season, Madristas,” to the buoyant crowd.
