Real Madrid set to extend Luka Modric contract

Luka Modric has scored three goals in 7 matches of WC 2022 qualifiers.

Real Madrid are planning to give an extension to Luka Modric’s contract. They are keen to offer Croatian midfielder a new contract.

According to Marca, Luka Modric continues to play at a high level, and Real Madrid have acknowledged this and want to extend his contract until June of 2023.

Real Madrid midfielder is 36 years old but he is still a top-class player. He is performing in Spain and Los Blancos wants to give him more chances to add milestones to his career.

He guided Croatia to the 2018 World Cup final and also secured qualification in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. It means, Modric will play his fourth World Cup next year and after then, he can bid goodbye to world football. The Croatian star wants to play one more year and Real Madrid can add one more year to his contract.

Luka Modric has scored three goals in 7 matches of World Cup 2022 qualifiers. He wears the number 10 shirt for Madrid. He is yet to make an appearance for Madrid this season.
