Real Madrid’s first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is already a legend and he is playing yet another season of the Champions League. He has won trophies for the club since he arrived in 2018. He won two Champions League and three La Liga titles.
The Belgium international was talking about the top saves in the Champions League. We recently saw the outstanding double save from David Raya against Atalanta in the Champions League opener.
According to ElDesmarque, Los Blancos goalkeeper shared that ‘for the moment, for the match, it will be Mané’s against Liverpool, in the Champions League final.’

The 32-year-old added more, ‘I think it was a super-complicated stop. I was caught off guard, I thought I wasn’t going to make it.‘
Real Madrid were champions after this game as they beat Liverpool 1-0 in final, courtesy of Vinicius Jr strike. Courtois contribution was important in UCL final. The goalkeeper did acknowledge that the best saves often come at less important times.
