Real Madrid legend Marcelo, who is currently a free agent, has received offers from both Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and Monza of Italy

Marcelo will have to select where he will play next season after his painful departure from Real Madrid. The Brazilian left defender has being courted by clubs from all around the world.

Last week, it was reported that Nice had also approached the Brazilian international. Les Aiglons have been attempting to strengthen their left-back options and have lost Ecuadorian Pervis Estupián to Brighton, while Empoli’s Fabiano Parisi has signed a new deal after Nice’s €7 million approach was rejected.

Instead, the Ligue 1 club have resorted to the veteran, who departed Real Madrid this summer following a fifteen-year tenure in which he made 546 appearances, won La Liga six times, and became a quintuple Champions League champion.

The Germans submitted their offer on Friday, while Nice and Monza made their bids earlier. If Nice can persuade the left-back, his exorbitant salary will not be an issue for INEOS, and manager Lucien Favre has given his blessing for the signing.

Finally, the Arab and Qatari clubs are attempting to persuade him financially. Marcelo, on the other hand, will keep his options open since he wants to remain at the highest competitive level in order to be picked for the Qatar World Cup in 2022.
