Martin Odegaard admits he is happy at Arsenal.

The 22-year old midfielder has spent the second half of the season on loan at Arsenal.

His loan deal with the Gunners is set to expire next month and the Norwegian will have the discuss his future with parent club Real Madrid.

There was no purchase deal included in the loan deal but Real Madrid may be tempted to sell him in the summer due to their financial constraints.

“I am happy here at Arsenal, we will see after the season what will happen,” the 22-year-old told Sky Germany.

“I’m owned by Real Madrid, so we have to speak to them. It’s important to understand what they want.”

Odegaard has been a big hit under Mikel Arteta playing 18 games and scoring two goals in this short spell.

The Gunners have to pay a hefty fee for the attacking midfielder who joined Los Blancos in 2015 as a 16-year old wonderkid.

Mikel Arteta will need the Arsenal board to back him in the summer window for a squad rebuild.
