The biggest shock of the League Phase occurred on Matchday 7 of the Champions League on Tuesday when Norway’s Bodø/Glimt shocked Manchester City 3-1. Jens Hauge made it 3-0 in the 58th minute, while Kasper Waarst Høgh scored two goals in the first half to help the home team win their first Champions League match.
Four minutes after Hauge’s score, Rodri received the second of two yellow cards in a minute, so it wasn’t a good day for Manchester City. The 53-second interval between yellow cards was the shortest for an English side to be sent off in the Champions League since Wayne Rooney for Manchester United in 2005 (4 seconds), according to Opta.
Arsenal defeated Inter Milan 3-1 at the San Siro to become the first side to guarantee a spot in the Round of 16. After Gabriel Jesus scored his first Champions League goal in more than two years, the Gunners climbed to 7-0-0 and scored their 19th goal from a corner kick this season. Twenty minutes later, he added another goal.
