Asensio’s current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will expire at the end of this season.
According to a fresh report form Fichajes, Newcastle United are planning to get the signature of Real Madrid ace Marco Asensio. It has been reported that the Magpies are keen to sign the Spaniard.
The Magpies are doing great in Premier League and they have been the consistent side so far. They are aiming for the Champions League spot despite some poor performances in couple of games.
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old target is serving as a sporadic presence in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad this season but has managed to put in a run of impressive performances for Los Blancos in the final third.
The Spain international has played 31 matches for Madrid during this season, scoring six goals and picking up five assists across all competitions.
Asensio’s current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will expire at the end of this season. Newcastle could sign him as a free agent in the summer.
Asensio is primarily a right-winger but can also fill in as a left-sided wide player or as an attacking midfielder down the middle. The Spaniard is available on a free transfer makes him a shrewd option for the Magpies to pursue in the summer.
