Kylian Mbappé secures first Real Madrid award
Even though Mbappé is still under fire for his performances since moving to the Spanish capital in the summer, the club’s supporters have now acknowledged the 25-year-old for his efforts. According to a social media post on Tuesday afternoon, Mbappé has defeated the opposition to win the September Real Madrid Player of the Month award.
The beginning of Kylian Mbappé’s career at Real Madrid hasn’t gone as well as planned. In his first five La Liga games, the former Paris Saint-Germain player scored five goals; however, only two of those goals came from open play and the remaining three came from penalties. The highly anticipated signing of Mbappé to Real Madrid, which was supposed to strengthen the team’s dominance in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League, hasn’t worked out as planned.
