OFFICIAL Luka Jovic joins Fiorentina on a permanent deal

Luka Jovic has completed a free transfer to Fiorentina.

The Serbian forward moved to Real Madrid in 2019 after his haul of 40 goals in 93 games in Germany tempted the Spanish giants to make a move.

But he struggled to make an impact since his arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu.

His tenure at Real Madrid was nothing short of a complete failure and Perez just wanted off the salary books.

Real Madrid coughed up £56m for signing the 24-year-old striker but three years later he leaves the club on a free transfer to Fiorentina.

Jovic has signed a contract until the summer of 2024 and Real have included a 50% sell-on clause in the deal.

He was one of the highest-earners at Real Madrid and getting him out will save £28m in wages.

Luka Jovic’s father shares his views on the deal.

“This is the right move, it’s an opportunity for everyone to see who’s right and who’s wrong. An opportunity to look at each other right in the eye and see whether or not you’re strong enough,” he said as quoted in Serbian newspaper Objektiv.
