OFFICIAL: Real Madrid confirm signing of Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer

Kylian Mbappe moved to the Spanish capital on a free transfer.

Real Madrid have officially confirmed the signing of Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer. The Frenchman signed a five-year contract at Bernabeu. This whole transfer drama came to an end which has been going on from the last two years.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that a deal has been in place since February, with Mbappe running down his contract at Paris Saint-Germain.

Los Blancos waited for the Champions League final to announce the signing of Mbappe. The French forward moved to the Spanish capital on a free transfer.

Real Madrid confirmed, via a statement on their official website, “Real Madrid CF and Kylian Mbappe have reached an agreement whereby he will be a Real Madrid player for the next five seasons.”


former PSG forward will receive in excess of €100m as a signing bonus, and he is also expected to become the highest-paid player in the Spanish capital.

Mbappe will now move to Germany for Euro 2024 campaign where he will join France national team. Later, he will join Real Madrid on the pre-season.
