. Real Madrid midfielder Valverde suffers injury setback

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez claims the squad will recruit players this summer, but there is also a lot of speculation over potential exits. The status of Uruguayan player Fede Valverde has been fiercely challenged following his confrontation with teammate Aurelien Tchouameni.

Real Madrid punished both Valverde and Tchouameni with €500,000 for their roles in the brawl, but other reports claim Valverde initiated it. Some members of the dressing room have reportedly even requested that Valverde be sold this summer because they believe it would be difficult to live with him in the future. According to reports, Manchester United is also monitoring Valverde’s situation.

Valverde and Paris Saint-Germain have discussed a possible summer transfer, according to El Chiringuito, as reported by MD. This has already been confirmed by Diario AS, who claim to have already looked into the possibility of moving. They are informing Valverde that if leaving becomes a possibility—which it wasn’t previously—PSG would be interested.

PSG make contact with Fede Valverde

The midfielder’s camp was approached by Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, according to Spanish TV programme El Chiringuito, to let them know that the French team would be prepared to pursue his signature should he ever depart the Santiago Bernabéu.

Spanish publication AS verified the allegation on Thursday, adding that the communication was made over the weekend, mostly to assess the present position after Valverde’s match against Tchouaméni.

Valverde is valued at between €100 million and €120 million by AS; however, El Chiringuito earlier stated that the valuation was closer to €80 million to €100 million.

Before the upcoming season, PSG is not the only team connected to Valverde. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City have all previously been listed as probable suitors for the Real Madrid midfield player, while Manchester United has also surfaced as a potential destination.
