Real Madrid accept €50m Newcastle bid for Eden Hazard!

Hazard has no intention of leaving the club in January.

Real Madrid have reportedly accepted a €50m (£41.7m) bid from Newcastle United for Eden Hazard. Meanwhile, the player has turned down a move to St James’ Park.

Los Blancos man has been linked with a departure from the Santiago Bernabeu, due to his underwhelming spell. He is not the first-choice player with Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Marco Asensio.

The Spanish giants are believed to be prepared to let as many as six first-team players leave the club in January and Hazard is one name they are willing to negotiate offers for.

As per the reports of El Nacional, the Magpies have lodged an initial €40m (£33.3m) bid with a further €10m (£8.3m) in add-ons, which has been accepted by president Florentino Perez.

The Belgium international has no intention of leaving the club in January and is prepared to see out the rest of his contract which runs until 2024.

The report also adds that the 31-year-old would only consider an exit if he were to return to Chelsea, where he spent seven years between 2012 and 2019.

Hazard has scored only five times and registered 10 assists. He has made 13 appearances this season in La Liga.
