Real Madrid are reportedly preparing an audacious attempt to lure Manchester City midfielder Rodri to the Spanish capital, offering two top stars plus a significant cash fee.

According to reports from CaughtOffside, the Spanish giants have considered proposing a deal that includes both attacker Rodrygo and midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, alongside €40 million, in exchange for the reigning Ballon d’Or winner.
Rodri stands as one of Pep Guardiola’s most crucial players at Manchester City.
His commanding midfield performances, including the decisive goal in the 2023 Champions League final, cemented his status as the world’s best defensive midfielder and earned him football’s highest individual honour last year.
Despite persistent links to Madrid as they plan for futures beyond Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, Manchester City maintain an absolute stance: Rodri is untouchable.
The club views the 29-year-old Spaniard as central to their present and future success and flatly refuse to entertain offers.
City’s hierarchy are actively preparing a new contract offer aiming to extend Rodri’s stay beyond his current 2027 deal, potentially until 2030. The player himself shows no public desire to leave and retains a strong bond with manager Guardiola.
Real Madrid’s willingness to include both Rodrygo and Camavinga – players previously considered key to their own project – underscores how highly they rate Rodri. However, even this substantial offer appears unlikely to sway City.
