Real Madrid are confident that the transfer of Tchouameni will be completed.
Real Madrid are close to reaching an agreement with AS Monaco for the transfer of Aurélien Tchouameni.
Liverpool are now out of the race and PSG are also not interested in signing the 22-year-old.
After an initial offer of €80m including bonuses, Los Blancos came up with a second offer. The offer was much closer to Monaco’s request of almost €100m, as per the reports of Foot Mercato.
The European Champions have made a written offer of €80m plus €10m in bonuses and a sum corresponding to the tax on the capital gain made by Monaco on Tchouameni’s transfer.
Because of the special status, the Spanish tax authorities claim a 19% tax on any capital gain realised by the French club on the sale of a player in Spain.
This would exceed the €100m transfer fee including bonuses. Real Madrid are confident that the transfer will be completed.
