Nacho Fernandez, a defender for Real Madrid, could leave the organisation in the January transfer window

The versatile defender’s deal with Los Blancos is coming to an end, and despite having a one-year extension offer on the table, the Spaniard has put a stop to contract negotiations.

This is due to the Real Madrid cantera’s dissatisfaction with his participation and function under Carlo Ancelotti this year.

Since Antonio Rudiger moved to the team this summer, Nacho has finding it very difficult to get into games. The Spanish star has fewer minutes because he is a lower priority than Eder Militao, David Alaba, and Rudiger.

As a result, the 32-year-old has only participated in 11 games across all competitions, totaling only 414 minutes.

Given his decreased playing time and his contract status, a summer departure might be imminent. But the source also says that there’s a chance Nacho might go as early as January.

Aston Villa and Wolves, two Premier League teams who are showing interest in the 32-year-old, might give him more playing time if he decides to switch teams midway through the season.

Nacho, a player who has played his entire career with Real Madrid, has often insisted he wants to stay a one-club man. But given his current predicament, leaving in January might become a possibility.
