Carvajal’s contract in the Spanish capital will expire next summer.
Real Madrid defender has given a hint on his future in the Spanish capital. Dani Carvajal has said that he is not thinking about leaving Madrid. The 32-year-old is still confident that he can be a vital player for Real Madrid.
The Spaniard made 41 appearances for Los Blancos during the 2023-24 season, scoring six goals and registering five assists in the process.
The Spain international played a leading role in his side’s La Liga and Champions League title wins. He is now currently playing for Spain in Euro 2024. His contract in the Spanish capital will expire next summer.
Carvajal speaks to AS while on international duty, “At the moment I’m not thinking about leaving Madrid, far from it. My subjective perception is that the day I can’t contribute what I can contribute, I’ll take a step aside.”
“But I’m very happy. I think I can give a lot to the club, to the team. And I’m more excited than ever.
“I’m not thinking about anything at the moment. Neither for the future at Madrid nor to leave. I enjoy the moment, now I’m here at the European Championship and I talk about it many times with my wife.
“I enjoy every training session, every match; and what has to come, will come. I try not to obsess about the future because I like to live in the present, every situation that happens in my life.”
