Luka Modric's agent provides update on midfielder's future

Real Madrid Extends Luka Modric’s Contract Until 2025

Real Madrid has secured Luka Modric’s services until June 2025, delighting fans and ensuring the Croatian maestro will grace the Santiago Bernabeu for a 13th season.

The 38-year-old midfielder agreed to the extension on Wednesday, cementing his legendary status at the club.

Modric, one of Madrid’s captains, didn’t feature as prominently in the starting lineup this season. However, with Toni Kroos retiring, Modric’s role in Carlo Ancelotti’s midfield is expected to grow. His experience and vision remain invaluable assets as Madrid eyes more silverware.

In his illustrious career with Los Blancos, Modric has amassed 26 titles, a club record he shares with defender Nacho Fernandez. His trophy cabinet includes six Champions League titles and four La Liga championships.

Madrid proudly announced, “Modric arrived in 2012, and in his 12 seasons with us, he has become a Real Madrid and world football legend.”

The accolades don’t stop there. Modric clinched the Ballon d’Or, FIFA Player of the Year, and UEFA Player of the Year in 2018, a year when he also led Croatia to a runner-up finish at the World Cup. With 178 international caps, Modric is Croatia’s all-time record-holder and a beacon of consistency and brilliance.

For Real Madrid, Modric has made 534 appearances and scored 39 goals, each moment a testament to his enduring class and commitment.

As he prepares for another chapter, fans eagerly await the magic he continues to bring to the pitch.
