Real Madrid midfielder suffered “a knock” during the morning training session.
Real Madrid are going to miss their key player for a month. Los Blancos manager confirmed that Jude Bellingham suffered an injury during Friday’s training session.
The English midfielder is now expected to be absent for the next month. While having the press conference ahead of La Liga clash against Real Valladolid, Carlo Ancelotti revealed that Bellingham was a doubt for the team’s next game.
The former Dortmund attacker suffered “a knock” during the morning training session. The European winners have now released a statement confirming a problem with the midfielder’s right leg.
Bellingham will be out from football action until the end of September due to the nature of the damage. Club statement reads, “Following tests carried out today on our player Jude Bellingham by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the plantar thin muscle of his right leg. Pending evolution.”
The 21-year-old could miss Real Madrid’s next six top-flight games. He may return to action at the end of September against Atletico Madrid. He has netted 23 goals and registered 13 assists in 42 appearances.
Real Madrid will also miss Eduardo Camavinga and David Alaba due to injury. Alaba is dealing with knee issue and he is likely to be out till September international break.
