Real Madrid Facing Stiff Competition From PSG For David Alaba

Real Madrid won’t have a straight run at David Alaba this summer.

Despite what previous reports might have claimed the Galacticos do not have an agreement in place with the Austrian.

In fact, PSG are in a very strong position to whisk him away on a larger contract. Alaba has already revealed to the public that he plans on leaving Bayern Munich after this season. He has reportedly been contacted by PSG president, Nasser Al Khelaifi.

Bayern Munich have already signed their replacement in Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig for €42.5m. With Alaba gone, now the Bavarians will field two pure centre-backs in the position.

Alaba has maintained contact with Real Madrid for some time now. Dario AS believes he is guaranteed a contract of €11m per season at the Spanish capital. Even Manchester City have chimed in with a more lucrative deal but Alaba is yet to decide.

Three of Europe’s biggest clubs are aiming for his signature and Real Madrid have a real fight on their hands now. Sergio Ramos’ contract situation has made it even more complicated for the Galacticos. They have to try everything to keep him as well as bring in David Alaba who would prefer to play in a left-back role more.
