Julian Alvarez wants to join Los Blancos after leaving Manchester City, thus it looks like Real Madrid will have an advantage over Chelsea in the signing race. A report from The Athletic claims that Chelsea is interested in Julian Alvarez. Before the summer transfer window opens, the Blues are searching around for a striker.

When the Manchester City striker departs the Premier League winners, he would rather sign with Real Madrid than the West London team. There have been rumours circulating for the past few weeks suggesting that Julian Alvarez may be departing Manchester City in search of consistent playing time.

Julian Alvarez would prefer only Real Madrid over any other option

However, The Athletic claims that Alvarez’s ideal transfer would be to Real Madrid, despite the fact that a deal is unattainable given the teams already strong forward lineup. Since joining the Premier League in 2022 after leaving River Plate, Julian Alvarez has proven to be one of the top promising talents. In 54 appearances across all competitions, the 24-year-old racked up 19 goals and 13 assists during a fantastic 2023–24 campaign.

Rejecting rumours that he is trying to leave Manchester City, Julian Alvarez maintains that he is “comfortable and happy” at the Etihad Stadium. As they try to add summer additions for new manager Enzo Maresca, Chelsea is rumored to have shown interest in the 24-year-old, but Atletico Madrid is said to have already failed in their attempt to sign him.
