When the January transfer market starts, Los Blancos will be able to attract players once more. According to Relevo, Real Madrid is nearing a deal with 18-year-old defender Lamini Fati of La Liga rivals Leganes. According to reports, the left-footed center-half, who presently plays for Leganes’ B team, would join Real Madrid’s academy when the sale was finalized. At a practice match between Real Madrid Castilla and Leganes B last summer, Fati initially attracted the attention of Los Blancos, according to Madrid Universal.
At the time, Fati was rumoured to be on the verge of joining Valencia but ultimately decided to stay with Leganes. Fati might be a welcome addition for Castilla and the C squad, as Real Madrid’s academy has been beset by injuries and inconsistent play, much like the first team. Fans of Fati describe the defender as an “imposing, physically dominant center-back, strong in duels, and very anticipative.” Additionally, he is referred to as an “indispensable player” for Leganes’ B team.
Real Madrid agrees personal terms with defender
Real Madrid is expected to sign a player from Barcelona’s rivals next month, according to a number of sources. Leading the charge was Spanish journalist Rodra P, who disclosed that Real Madrid is “on the verge” of acquiring Lamini Fati, a center-back for Leganes B, in January. After joining Real Madrid’s Juvenil A squad (Under-19 level), the 18-year-old, who now plays for Leganes B, will fit in.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano added his perspective on the matter, stating that Los Blancos and Fati have reached a personal accord. Furthermore, a €100,000 club-to-club deal between Real Madrid and Leganes is “almost done.”
