According to reports, Real Madrid is prepared to make Eduardo Camavinga an offer as part of a move for Portugal international Joao Neves, who is reportedly set on joining Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
PSG eventually signed Neves from Benfica, despite the fact that he had been linked to a move to Manchester United last summer. The 20-year-old has been playing well in the 2024–25 season.
This season, the Portuguese midfielder has been one of his team’s most impressive players, managing four goals and nine assists in 34 appearances across all competitions, including two goals and eight assists in Ligue 1.
Real Madrid is a big fan of Neves and thinks he would be a great addition to their midfield, according to Fichajes. The defending European champions are reportedly willing to trade French midfielder Camavinga plus €20 million (£16.7 million) for Neves, although it is currently unknown if PSG would be amenable to such a move.
Real Madrid ready to offer €20 million plus for Joao Neves
According to Transfermarkt, Camavinga is valued at €80 million (£66.7 million), while PSG paid Benfica €70 million (£58.4 million) for Neves last year.
Camavinga has once again been a key member of Real Madrid’s squad in the 2024–25 season, making 24 appearances across all competitions, contributing two assists and one goal. Real Madrid is interested in his ability to determine the game’s pace, control possession, and make wise tactical choices.
Since the club views him as a long-term investment, they hope to complete his deal during the next summer transfer window. However, Real Madrid is willing to let go of Camavinga if doing so would allow them to get Neves. Camavinga is still an important member of the team.
Carlo Ancelotti has found the young French midfielder to be a flexible option, playing a variety of midfield positions and even defense when needed. Real Madrid seems prepared to make this sacrifice, though, provided it advances their long-term goal.
