When it comes to finding and hiring South American talent, Real Madrid has excelled. The success of their transfer plan is demonstrated by players like Fede Valverde, Vinicius Jr., and Rodrygo. All of them were young when they first came to Santiago Bernabeu, but after being given the opportunity to grow as players, they went on to play significant roles in teams that won the Champions League.
Real Madrid is always keeping an eye on other South American talent. However, in recent times, they have encountered some difficulty in acquiring these players, as multiple other teams have adopted a comparable recruitment approach.
Real Madrid and a number of other elite European teams have been connected to Franco Mastantuono and his services. Furthermore, Los Blancos seem to have made one decision already, even though his future is still unknown.
Real Madrid have made €45 million transfer decision
Real Madrid will not honour the release provision that is now in place in Mastantuono’s contract, as reported by MARCA. This is already known to River Plate. €45 million is that amount. Mastantuono has an incredible talent; there is no denying it. However, Real Madrid refuses to pay that sum.
The Endrick formula is being used to determine the Argentine player’s destiny, and negotiations are underway within the Santiago Bernabeu to seal the transaction for a maximum of €25–€30 million. Mastantuono will therefore not join Real Madrid right away; instead, he will spend a year at River Plate until he is 18 before joining Carlo Ancelotti’s team in the summer of 2025.
