Kai Havertz Doesn't Have Any Excuses - 'I Have To Improve My Game'

The son of Cristiano Ronaldo has received his first call-up to Portugal’s under-16 team. Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, 15, who plays for his father’s team, Al Nassr, in the Saudi Pro League, has been added to the 22-man squad for the Federations Cup Tournament in Turkey.

Teams from England, Wales, and Turkey will compete in the youth tournament from October 30 to November 4. His advancement raises the possibility that he will play with his father, and his selection follows his May call-up to the Portugal U15 team.

Since his father played for both Juventus and Manchester United before relocating to the Saudi Pro League in December 2022, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr has also spent time in the youth system at both teams. Since making his U15 debut in 2001, Ronaldo has amassed 223 caps and 143 goals for Portugal, setting two global records in men’s international football.

Ronaldo one step closer to playing alongside his son for Portugal

After the Portugal national team recently made a choice, Cristiano Ronaldo might be one step closer to playing with his son. Despite his seemingly everlasting career, Ronaldo continues to play regularly for Selecao and score goals for enjoyment as captain of Al-Nassr, a Saudi Pro League team.

When the 40-year-old decides to hang up his boots is one of the major mysteries surrounding him right now, but he might find new inspiration to keep going. With a name like Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, Ronaldo’s son is an obvious addition to any squad roster and has established himself in the young squads of the teams his father has played for.

The young Ronaldo was called up to the Portugal U16 team for the first time, which is the highest age group in which he has yet to be featured for his country. He is travelling to Turkey with the youth team to play in the Federation Cup, which begins later this month. He is known in Portugal as Cristianinho.
